1.What items are prohibited?

Construction & Demolition Debris Dumpsters

Unacceptable items as per PVT Landfill Co:

  • Batteries fluorescent lights or ballasts

  • Tires and auto parts

  • Mattresses, foam packing, and insulation material

  • Appliances (refrigerators, freezers, AC units, washing machines, dryers, water heaters, etc.)

  • Office Equipment (computers, copy machines, printers, other electronic equipment shopping carts, etc.) • Hazardous Materials (chemicals, gas/propane tanks, paint, etc.)

  • Green waste (grass, leaves, tree trimmings, tree stumps, etc.)

Any prohibited items found will result in additional handling fees.

Municipal Solid Waste Dumpsters (house rubbish)

Unacceptable items as per H-Power facility & City and County of Honolulu disposal sites:

  • White goods including stoves, washers, dryers, refrigerators, water heaters, steel cabinetry, etc.

  • All construction or demolition debris or waste, including concrete blocks of any size or type, rebar of any size, corrugated metal siding, structural steel and scrap iron to any dimension, chain, metal/plastic pipes, sheet rock, roofing and road tar, drywall, banding material, treated lumber (including wood pallets using treated wood), etc. 

  • Land clearing debris including large tree stumps, dirt, compost, unearthed stone, etc. Loads containing greater than 25% of commercially generated green waste and greater than 50% of household-generated green waste. 

  • Automobiles, motorcycles, ATVs, motorized carts, vehicle parts, including drive line components such as truck or auto engines, transmissions, rear axle assemblies, front axles and suspension parts and batteries, fuel tanks, fenders, hydraulic hoses, wheels, and rims. Tractor or large truck tires of any kind. 

  • Wire and cable, including steel cable, wire rope, electrical transmitting wire of any kind. 

  • Marine vessels in whole or parts, motors (inboard and outboard), fiberglass segments, mooring rope and lines, unprocessed marine cleanup debris containing uncut fishing ropes, netting, etc. Valves or machine parts from ships/boats. 

  • Large quantities of carpeting and bulk fabrics either rolled or loose. 

  • Large bolts and bales of any kind. 

  • Uncrushable, noncombustible, oversized material with dimensions greater than 3ft in any plane e.g., large/oversized tires, bathtubs, bulk metal items of any kind, large metal/plastic pipes, uncut irrigation tubing, glass, shopping carts, lawn mowers, etc.

  • Machinery and machinery parts of all descriptions such as hydraulic pumps, gear boxes, steel shafting, bearings, gears, valves, springs, etc. (other than small household appliances). 

  • Containers or drums containing unused or waste chemicals, propane, oxygen, acetylene tanks and combustible liquids including fuel, crankcase oils, cutting oils, cleaning fluids, paints, acids, poisons, and similar materials. 

  • Hazardous wastes - any item so marked, including chemical or radioactive materials, universal wastes, e-waste, lithium batteries, etc.

  • Untreated infectious, biological and pathological wastes, animal carcasses 

  • Explosive materials. 

  • Large quantities of sulfur containing material. 

  • ANY Liquid wastes. 

  • Soils and powders - sacks or containers with any type of solid or powdery debris, combustible and noncombustible.

  • Semi liquid and bulk quantities of FOOD WASTE

Any prohibited items found will result in additional handling fees.

2. How long is the rental period for a bin?

  • Standard rental periods for our bins are 10 calendar days.

3. What dumpster sizes do you offer?

  • We currently offer 15 cu yd, 20 cu yd, 30 cu yd, and 40 cu yd bins.

4. Can I park the dumpster on the street?

  • All dumpsters parked on a street are required have a valid street usage permit authorized by the City & County of Honolulu.

  • Dumpsters wished to be placed on the street WILL NOT be delivered until a valid permit has been acquired.

  • Customers are responsible for acquiring a street usage permit.

5. How is pricing for Aggregate Delivery determined?
